Re: Nabataean/ Egyptian army
Interesting,
What's the justification for bow armed CM this early?
You need a points cost for the CL Camelry
Mounted Infantry are usually dealt with by buying mounts for 1 point per unit which allow them to move as if mounted during each phase of their first activation.
Surely the Egyptians operate as an ally and as such suffer the command value of the Nabateans.

Re: Nabataean/ Egyptian army
I don't attempt to justify bow armed CM- [this means I read so many sources for this army that I can't now retrace the authority for that- only that I found it somewhere]
Mounted infantry - sorry I used house rules here and maybe shouldn't have. Anyone wanted to try this army use whatever rules you want. Rules are only guidelines anyway [except for tournaments of course]
The Egyptian army was provided by Queen Cleopatra and would have been pretty independent. There is no way it suffers the command value of the Nabateans.
For once I think two different values are more than justified.

Re: Nabataean/ Egyptian army
The Egyptian infantry might have just been mercenary Thureophoroi, or may even have been pike armed although I'd agree the latter are unlikely in this setting

Re: Nabataean/ Egyptian army
Considering the personal [ she hated Herod] and financial interest Cleopatra had in this campaign I think the original description of the Egyptian is almost certainly accurate.
