With it, or On it! 28mm Hoplite Period Competition 9th November

The competition is restricted to the Hoplite Period from Army list volume 2 ONLY Lists should be taken from Extra Impetus 4, and only those optional troops available prior to 275BC.

Armies should be 350 points, halve all minimums and maximums on army lists.

Armies must have between 2-4 commands, the largest of which must not exceed 60% of the total VDT.

Flank Marches and ambushes are allowed. Normal 28mm\300pt setup applies, however you may no longer "keep back" units based on command level.

Casualties for generals DOES include Commanders Leadership and other Commands

Cowardly generals are not allowed

Other than that 2014 Advanced Impetus Rules & Amendments will be used where they apply to one day competitions as detailed here.

Armies must have a camp.

Army lists must be submitted to me no later than 12 noon on Sunday 26th October 2014. Please send lists by e-mail, either as an attachment or in the body of the e-mail. Players will be notified that their army list has been received. Updates on the tournament can be found on the Impetus Forum.

Players not submitting a list as above in a clear and legible manner will be deducted 30 vps. All armies should be 25/28mm, fully painted and should be representative of the historical troops. Players not fielding an appropriate and fully painted force will be deducted 30 vps.

09:45 – 10:00 – Arrival and Registration
10:00 – 12:00 - Game One
12:00 – 13:00 – Lunch
13:00 – 15:00 – Game Two
15:00 – 17:00 – Game Three

Rules Queries

Hopefully, all games will be played out with the utmost fun, and run completely smoothly. If you do have any problem/rules queries then, first look in the relevant rule/army book and, if this does not satisfy you or you can’t find the answer, and then please feel free to ask the event organizer. There will be no specific umpire appointed but hopefully we will be able to resolve any issues if they arise.

Sportsmanship
There will be no sportsmanship scoring for this event. However, if anyone feels their opponent was highly unsporting during their game they should make their feelings known to the event organiser.

The Battlefield
Terrain will be deployed as per the competition \ Advanced Impetus rules. Terrain will be provided, however players are free to bring their own if they wish.

Game Play
All games will be the Standard Pitched Battle following the competition rules. The games will last one and three quarter hours, including deployment, at the end of that time only actions can be taken to complete the turn.
