Germanic maths . . .

Let's see . . .

If I develop a sudden interest in putting together a largish German army (using info/list on page 10 of Extra 2 supplement), I could - emphasize COULD - do something like the following:

blue tribe - 450 points
> command structure POOR - 0 points
> leader charismatic - 40 points

4 units of med cav 092 points [092]
2 with hundreds attached 006 points [098]
6 units of javelinmen 072 points [170]
10 units of warriors (large) 210 points [380]

+leadership 040 points [420]

1 unit of warriors with elite (large) 028 points [448]

vdt of 63 / 32

What do you think? Too big?

Looks good but potentially fragile if those warriors get caught by a manoeuvre based opponents.

Or if the enemy has big crunchy cavalry units that charge the warriors and smash them to kingdom come.

Could say this about any war band based army GG…but war bands are the strength of an army like this and mad not to play to it's strengths. Personally I would drop the charismatic general and maybe one of the cavalry units and get even more war band Twisted Evil
