Curious as to why the CPs in the Anglo Norman list are slower than the CPs in the Norman list. They weren't that more heavily armoured, were they especially in 1072.

I think that it's a period of transition not merely in armour but also perhaps in the adoption of the "conrois" formation. This was more closely packed so would be slower.

I agree with you frostydog. Can't figure out why the CP knights in the 1st Crusade list are slower too. It seems to me that there was a move to the "conrois" formation, if one wants to call it that, around the end of the 11th beginning of the 12th century. If that is what is being depicted here then the CP should have the option of being upgraded to VBU7 like they do on the Late Crusader list.

Thanks Gaius, That's sort of what I was thinking of as well with the conrois being a later formation. In relation to the crusades its use is mentioned at Arsuf in the 3rd Crusade but not really discussed any earlier. The Normans in Sicily list which has some overlap with Anglo Normans has CP at 10" movement.
Not complaining just seems odd.

Overall I like the faster CP but the slower speed allows the CP to move forward with the S without overrunning them. The fast CP means that the player has to time the advance more carefully.
