Base widths

I'm new to Impetvs so apologies if this is a silly question. In Baroque, the base width for 15mm scale is 12cm when in Impetvs it is 8cm. What's the rationale for this? The affect is to make wheeling slower in Baroque. I would have thought troops of this period would have generally been better drilled than that of the middle ages or ancient periods so if anything easier to maneuver rather than harder?

Baroque is Brigade Level so it is a higher level than Impetus and the basing reflects the differences.

I see this post with huge delay.

The reason is to allow DBR based armies to form a Baroque unit. Aniway basing will be less important if you have armies already based with other systems and Unit of measure will be based on frontage, so any frontage can work with no problem
