Mounted Retreats in Draws

In 7.7.2 it states that "Mounted Units that end the melee with Foot in a draw may retreat 1H if they want to do so."

My question is whether the Foot in question above can attempt to Pursue. I don't see anything in the rules that says no but on the other hand, Pursuit seems to be available only to units that win a melee.

As an aside, I like this rule.

oh, yes, the pursuit is just for winner so foot cannot pursue in case of draw. It is just an option for mounted not stay in contact and disengage.

In Impetus 2 foot is faster and can be decisive but at the same time it is harder for foot to "hunt" mounted.
