Help with retreat

Post by prapor on Sun Oct 09, 2016 3:42 pm

Hello! Help please with retreat in difficult situation, when behind many bases.

There is a situation:

FL lost combat and have to retreat. Other FL backward and a few cavs. FL can interpenetrate them all. How we have to play this situation?

FL1 - all the way straight backward until clear place

FL2 - stay after backward base in there back

FL3 - 1 full move back and stay with a little shift to side

FL1. Retreating is different from displacing a unit through movement and the retreating unit in this case moves straight back until it finds sufficient space to be placed. If the retreating unit were FP it would push back the whole mass while disordering each unit.

Yes Gaius is correct. Nice diagram though.....and what a nasty situation the blue player seems to have gotten themselves into Shocked
