Impetus in 15mm scale with 8 players.  Worked well.

The game designer decided not to have baggage.

Each player had a command. Worked out well, but in a previous game I found getting players to focus was a bit of a challenge as when their command wasn't engaged they would wander off for a chat, drink (where we play has a fully stocked bar) or smoke. But this game seemed to move quickly enough that everyone hung around the table. A few commands were able to move simultaneously without effecting course of play and that helped, plus some commands didn't do much (the Visigoths for example and my Sassanid command).
