Thanks for the battle report. One thing I haven't really given much thought to (since we game within one group) is that each person brings his own marking system to the table. How does that work in a larger tournament? Does it create certain challenges for the players?

General etiquette is to explain to the opponent which casualty and status marking system you use - usually I remind players to do this as part of the verbal briefing before play starts. I also suggest players explain what troops are what after the armies are set up - avoids those "ah I forgot to mention those slingers are proxy Javelins" moments
