T Archers -4 cm or 6 cm bases? Empty T Archers -4 cm or 6 cm bases?

Post by Pyjamas Mon Sep 22, 2014 2:13 am

Hi Guys,

OK - we know how many archers however...

Spent the weekend rebasing figures however I was interested in what people do with their supporting archers forLate Roman auxilia and legios?

I have based on the 6cm depth for my FP as well as the T archers however they do look a little deep.

Have others used the same base depth as per the rules or maybe fudged with a 4cm depth?

Look forward to your thoughts.

Regards

Carlo

My WotR archers are 4cm depth as I had the wrong size in mind when cutting the bases. So far I didn't notice any impact on the game...

I've adopted the option from the list notes, i.e. T unit based as an S. Just have to make sure your opponent appreciates the difference at the begining of the game...

Hi Carlo

Yes on this I adopted the S skirmish base option - but these have 4 figures on the base so they fit in nicely behind the FP unit.

Just gives you the option to use as S if you wanted in a different game - however don't think the late roman has that many options of fielding S skirmish archer units.
