Large games

Hi a friend and I are going to try a 500 point game on an 8/6 table this weekend.
How many extra terrain rolls do you think each player should get? 1 each for a total of 5 rolls all up?

If you want to use terrain generator i would use it exacyly as per the rules page 18. As your table is 2 foot wider than stated for those points if you wish cold make the trrain features a little larger. Extra space good for mounted army to manoevre. Have a good game.

I wouldn't consider 500 points a large game. We played 1000 point games a few times. That was a large game.

what size table did you use for those games Gaius?

The biggest Impetus game I have ever run was at Cold Wars a few years ago. I put on Magnesia between the Romans and the Selecuids. I think there was about 1300 points a side (1500 28mm figures.) I used a expedited initiative system and we played the game to completion in under 4 hours with 8 players (most of whom were new the system) with 2 other umpires. That was on a 14' by 6' table
