Massed units Empty Massed units

Some army lists allow units to be massed.

When being massed do you put two units together to form a large unit (like Impetus)?
Or do you just declare the unit is massed? What are the benefits of being massed?

Massed units Empty Re: Massed units

Post by Zippee on Tue Aug 29, 2017 6:25 pm

It's not a Large Unit made up of multiple units like it is in Impetus.

A Baroque massed unit is just a different type of unit that counts as massed. It's a single unit.

That said massed horse are the same size base as two unmassed horse but that's coincidence, you could push two RE together to create a RE(M) but it's not two units.

So a RE unit:

A RE(M) unit:

hope that helps
